Although heading out for lunch with your family can be fun, there are some places in bondi that are more suitable than others. Here’s my picks for the most family-friendly digs for your kids… (yep, that’s me and my messy munchkin in the pic).
Sejuiced, Bondi Pavilion
Get healthy take-away juices and fresh food and walk 20 paces to either the grass or beach.
Gertrude & Alice, 46 Hall Street
If the kiddiwinks are into reading, this place is piled high with second-hand books.
Luigi’s Deli Cafe, 154 Glenayr Avenue
Grab the kids some chalk to draw on the pavement while you kick back with great coffee.
Jeds Foodstore Cafe, 60 Warners Ave
Grab some outdoor seating and let the kids free on the surrounding large paved area.
Twisted Frozen Yoghurt, 36 Hall St
A fun, colourful and relatively healthy treat retreat in the centre of town.
The Canteen, Cnr Campbell Pde & Beach Rd
For older kids, this place has a great back corner of arcade games.
Sushi Train, 224 Campbell Parade
Who needs toys and books when you have delicious food whizzing by on tracks!
Nina’s Ploy Thai, 132 Warners Avenue (enter Wairoa Ave)
Nothing specifically for kids but it has delicious, authentic cheap food and nothing to break.
Moo Gourmet Burgers, 70A Campbell Pde
Something to please everyone, including gourmet fare and old-school homemade milkshakes.
Bondi’s Best Seafood, 37 Campbell Parade
Take away bondi’s best gourmet fish and chips and head to the north bondi beach grassy knoll.
